The United States Military Academy at West Point D.A.R.E. Program officially began in September of 1993 and is a collaborative effort by the Provost Marshal Office, West Point Elementary and Middle Schools, students, parents, and our community. It offers core curriculums for children in the 5th through 8th grades as well as an extensive kindergarten through 4th grade visitation curriculum. The program is taught by a D.A.R.E. instructor-certified Military Police Officer.

D.A.R.E. is taught across the nation by specially trained law enforcement officers. It was created by a combined effort of educators and law enforcement personnel in Los Angeles in 1983, and rapidly expanded nationwide.
